TUESDAY 9/15/2015 — School Closure. No Electricity due to Monsoon storm

TUESDAY 9/15/2015: 5:29am : Phoenix Advantage is closed today due to lack of power from the monsoon storm. There is also lack of accessibility to the school. Our custodial and kitchen staff had to take residential side streets to get through to the school. The intersection at Indian School and 16th Street is currently closed. Please keep children home today and stay safe. This day will have to be made up during the year. We will keep you posted as to when we are adding the make-up day.

Phoenix Advantage Eagles Thank Phoenix Police Department

A GREAT BIG thank you to the Phoenix Police Department. Today the Phoenix PD locked down our school for about 1 hour while they apprehended a criminal in the area. Students and staff safely and quickly locked up the school and stayed safely in their classrooms. We had all students and staff 100% accounted for in less than 3 minutes. Way to go, Eagles! Safety First!

PACS Remembers! 


          9:30am – 1:00pm

Please help our students honor the first responders in our community this September 11th.  At Phoenix Advantage we encourage our students to honor the people who sacrifice so much to be there in emergencies.  9/11 is a day when Phoenix Advantage Remembers!


  • Cake and punch for visiting first responders
  • Students will dress up as their favorite first responders
    • Ideas for kids include: nurse, doctor, firefighter, police officer, an armed forces service member, EMT,
  • The school will be decorated to honor and thank first responders
  • Visiting first responders may read to students, share safety tips and visit classrooms

April Peter Pan, Jr. Play a Success

A big congratulations to our students, faculty and staff of the PACS Theatre Company. This year’s Peter Pan, Jr. play was a success and enjoyed by family and community. Thank you to all who donated time, equipment and money to help make this production successful.

On March 2, Phoenix Advantage celebrated Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss Day. The day was great fun with many guest readers including Phoenix Councilwoman Laura Pastor, students from Spartan basketball team and cheerleaders, volunteer from Hospice of the Valley and parents. The kids loved meeting all our guests and hearing Dr. Seuss and other favorite books.
