Saturday, May 12th, SATURDAY MATINEE:  Join us in Room 101 from 2pm until 4pm for a movie and snacks.  This is the perfect opportunity to check out one of our Kindergarten rooms, meet our Registrar, and enroll your little ones for school next year.


Bye Bye Birdie

The PACS Theatre is pleased to announce our upcoming production of Bye Bye Birdie playing on May 3-4, 2012 at 6 pm in Room 107.  Come one and all for a fun-filled night of acting, music, and dance.  Tickets are $2 for students and $3 for adults and can be purchased at the door or from Miss Reese in room 130.  Concessions will be sold before the show and during intermission.

Now Enrolling

 KINDERGARTENERS

For the 2012-2013 School Year

 

All students who turn five before September 1, 2012 will be accepted (until we run out of room).

 Some students who turn five between September 1 & December 31 may be accepted, depending on academic ability and social readiness for school.

 Academic ability and social readiness will be determined by testing done at one of our Kindergarten Roundup events on the evenings listed below. 

The events begin at 5:30 and are about an hour long.

Join us for Paragon Night

Join us on the evening of Thursday, March 15, 2012 for our Unit 6 Paragon Night!  Our featured performers are the 5th and 7th grades.  We start at 5:30 pm and wrap up at around 7:00 pm.  See you there!


Phoenix Advantage Charter School Now Open for Enrollment

We are currently inviting parents to pre-enroll their children at Phoenix Advantage Charter School, for the 2011-2012 school year. Once your pre-enrollment form is received, a school representative will contact you to discuss enrollment options.

Pre-enrollment is now open to all students residing in the respective school district. Phoenix Advantage Charter Schoolcan accommodate students entering into kindergarten to 8th grade. It is imperative that parents submit enrollment applications for each student planning to enroll, as early as possible.

Phoenix Advantage Charter School implements a thematic, interactive program that incorporates multiple learning styles. Mornings are dedicated to building solid skills in the core subject areas of reading, writing, math and science. While the afternoons are reserved for foreign language, music, physical education and a daily 90-minute block of Phoenix Advantage Charter School’s Paragon curriculum.

The Paragon curriculum is interdisciplinary, engaging, discovery-based and multi-cultural. The hands-on approach of Paragon addresses the multiple intelligences and individual learning styles. This enhances students’ communication skills, analysis and self-expression.

Phoenix Advantage Charter School also offers an emotionally and physically safe learning environment, access to computers and technology, committed and qualified teachers and staff and encourage parental involvement. Teachers will conduct regular goal setting conferences with individual children and their parents, to ensure the student’s success.

The Phoenix Advantage Charter School Community, will Host the Holiday Extravaganza

Friday, December 10th, 2010

PHOENIX, Ari.  – Phoenix Advantage Charter School (PACS) students, teachers and staff will host the Holiday Extravaganza, on December 16th, in room 107, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

PACS students will perform a riveting holiday showcase, while teachers and parents host test data discussions. There will also be a Spaghetti Dinner, fundraiser.

Math and reading data talks are scheduled from 5:30 to 6 p.m., the Fine Arts Choir will perform from 6:15 to 6:25 p.m., following a performance by the Dance Club at 6:30 p.m., and Make and Take Holiday Activities will be from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m.

The Spaghetti Dinner will be served from 6 to 6:45 p.m., by PACS 8th graders. The cost is $2 per person, and there is a $.50 cost for water, hot chocolate or coffee.

All families of PACS students are invited and encouraged to attend.


Phoenix Advantage Charter School Schedules “Trunk of Treat Night” to Fuse Family Fun and Learning

Phoenix, Ari.  – Phoenix Advantage Charter School (PACS) will host “Trunk of Treat Night” from 5:30 to 7 p.m., on October 28 at parking lot.

The community is invited to join PACS students, parents, teachers and staff, for an evening of family fun, with an additional learning component. More than 20 PACS parents will volunteer, decorate their cars, fill the trunks with goodies and hand out treats to local “trick-or-treaters.”

Students will also receive hidden math lessons, while enjoying themselves. At the “Estimation Station,” for example, students will have the chance to guess how many candy eyeballs are stuffed into a jar.

PACS prides itself in the ability to utilize alternative methods of teaching. During “Trunk or Treat Night,” PACS will not only continue to embody its mission on campus, but extends its reach to the community.
